Influenced from a DIY tracking interface project on Makezine, a 3D half cube is built as an experimental electronic music instrument. Walls are separately covered with a conductive material with a small voltage applied on them, turning the space into a giant capacitor. As a human hand is placed in the space, capacitance changes due the electrolytical property of human body. The position of the hand in the 3D space is seen in a GUI that is again influenced by the project but additionally each position is encoded into a certain sound in the Arduino program, yielding changing patterns of continuous sound as the hand is moved in the space.
