Glass, Cardboard, 9V Alkaline Battery, Prototyping Board, Mercury filled Motion Sensor.
I designed a prototype water bottle targeting kids of small ages to incent them the habit of daily water consumption. Beneath the bottle an RGB Led continuously changes its colour at a constant rate, decoratively illuminating the bottle and its surroundings with the refractory property of the water. The motion sensor acts as a switch that closes a circuit as the bottle is tilted. When the circuit is closed, the RGB Led stops at a certain colour which can be presented as a game to catch the “colour of choice” by drinking water from the playful bottle. When the bottle is straightened, shifting of colours continue from where it was left.
